Part-Time Computer & Mobile Phone Technician – Lewes

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 9am-5pm

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Computer & Mobile Phone Technician to join our Lewes team on a part‑time basis, with an immediate start.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys fixing technology, solving problems and helping customers get their devices back up and running.
The Role
You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and setting up a range of computers, laptops, mobile phones and other electronic devices.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing PCs and laptops
- Diagnosing and repairing smartphones and tablets
- Screen, battery, charging port and other component replacements
- Windows installation, setup and troubleshooting
- Virus and malware removal
- Data transfers and backups
- Phone setup and data migration
- Troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Setting up computers, phones, printers and other peripherals
- Carrying out hardware upgrades
- Providing technical support and advice to customers
- Assessing devices and providing repair estimates
- Keeping customers updated on repair progress
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workshop
- Attending home visits to diagnose issues, carry out repairs and provide on‑site technical support
- Carrying out general IT and technical support as required
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in computer and/or mobile phone repair
- Has a strong understanding of PC hardware and Windows
- Is confident diagnosing technical problems
- Has experience working with smartphones and tablets
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is comfortable working independently
- Is patient and friendly with customers
- Can explain technical issues clearly and simply
- Is reliable, organised and takes pride in their work
Experience with iPhones, Samsung and other Android devices, laptop repairs, custom-built PCs, data recovery or networking would be an advantage.
