Job description
We looking for an experienced Barista that is used to work in a busy coffee shop, to join our team as we open up in a new location. This job is for someone who lives locally and is able to take 2-3 opening shifts per week.
We are a dynamic company, with Swedish heritage that is continuously expanding our food selections.
Essential skills we are looking for:
- You are experienced at making all different style coffees fast and with consistent quality.
- You have sound knowledge of assessing shots, calibrating grinder and maintaining equipment
- While you will be making lots of lovely coffee, this role also entails serving food to customers, cleaning and performing tasks needed for daily operations of a cafe while being a part of our fun team. We need you to be able to hit the ground running, so experience is essential.
- You have great interpersonal skills and enjoy a good chat with customers. Lots of lovely, happy small talk. Great at connecting with people around you, you’re one to spread positivity and happiness all day long.
- A good understanding of food hygiene and will be required to take the Level II hygiene course.
- You are not afraid of work and are very proactive – you get on with things, you have common sense. You don’t stand still and always find something to do.
- You are ready to be an all rounder as well as a barista and to be confident, efficient, disciplined, and fast while working.
- You value the importance of every task in the shop. This will includes cleaning throughout the day and at closing.
- You are punctual and a reliable hard worker.
- You are a great team player who cares for their colleagues and wants to come to work to have a good time.
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Experience:
- Hospitality: 2 years (preferred)
- Barista: 2 years (required)
- customer service: 2 years (preferred)
