We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Experienced Tailor / Seamstress to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Measure clients accurately to determine the best fit and alterations needed
- Sew, alter, and repair clothing items with precision, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal
- Customize garments according to client specifications, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adding embellishments
- Inspect finished products for quality control, checking for consistent stitching and proper fit
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace with all sewing tools and materials properly stored
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on garment adjustments
- Keep detailed records of alterations performed for each client to ensure consistency and repeatability
Skills
- Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Excellent sewing skills using various techniques and sewing machines
- Strong understanding of fabrics, textiles, and garment construction
- Ability to interpret patterns and technical drawings accurately
- Exceptional attention to detail and steady hand-eye coordination
- Good communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members effectively
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
