Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team within our Wholesale fruit and vegetable company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth handling, storage, and distribution of goods within our warehouse. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management systems, and logistics operations. The position involves physical activity, including heavy lifting and load/unload tasks, and requires a keen eye for quality control. Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Handling fresh produce efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries
- Restocking shelves and ensuring stock is organised and accessible
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity
- Ensuring the workspace remains clean, safe, and organised at all times
