Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Projects

Join a growing specialist electrical contractor delivering high-value projects across the data centre sector. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and support the successful delivery of major data centre projects across the UK and Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS who enjoys working in a fast-paced technical environment with the flexibility of remote working.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of electrical packages on large-scale data centre projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project costs, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Preparing and reviewing subcontractor packages and procurement schedules
- Monitoring project budgets and forecasting commercial performance
- Supporting contract administration and risk management
- Negotiating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Producing monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts
- Ensuring projects are delivered commercially and contractually in line with targets
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams remotely and on-site when required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within electrical contracting, M&E, or construction
- Data centre experience preferred but not essential
- Strong understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferred
