Excellence Solutions is a dynamic and growing training provider, committed to delivering high-
quality apprenticeship programmes across a range of sectors. We are expanding our IQA team and
are seeking experienced, motivated professionals to quality-assure delivery across five
apprenticeship standards.
We welcome applications from candidates with occupational expertise in one or more of the

Purpose of the Role
As an IQA at Excellence Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and
compliance of assessment decisions made by tutors and assessors across your assigned
Apprenticeship Standards. You will support the delivery team to meet awarding body, Ofsted, and
ESFA requirements while upholding our robust quality assurance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Sample and quality-check assessor decisions against the KSBs (Knowledge, Skills,
Behaviours) of each Apprenticeship Standard.
- Ensure assessment plans, portfolios, and EPA preparations meet awarding body, Ofsted,
and ESFA requirements.
- Monitor assessment practice for validity, reliability, sufficiency, authenticity, and fairness.
- Standardise assessor practice through meetings, targeted training, and sampling plans.
- Maintain up-to-date IQA records including sampling strategies, action plans, and monitoring
logs.
- Support readiness for EQA visits, preparing evidence and action responses as required.
- Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and CPD support to tutors and assessors.
- Deliver standardisation sessions to ensure consistency in assessment and evidence-
mapping.
- Support assessors with EPA preparation for apprentices (mock interviews, professional
discussions, presentations, etc.).
- Ensure assessments reflect real workplace practice and align with employer expectations.
- Promote continuous improvement to enhance apprentice outcomes and employer
satisfaction.
Essential Criteria
- Recognised IQA qualification (TAQA Level 4 or equivalent).
- Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1, D32/33, or equivalent).
- Occupational competence in one or more of the following: Content Creation / Digital Media,
Artificial Intelligence / Data, Business Administration, Team Leadership / Management, or
Marketing.
- Strong understanding of relevant Apprenticeship Standards and EPA requirements.
- Understanding of apprenticeship compliance, Ofsted EIF, and ESFA funding rules.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience as an IQA within apprenticeships or work-based learning.
- Experience across multiple apprenticeship standards or sectors.
- Experience of EPA preparation
- Ability to deliver CPD or standardisation training to assessors.
- Knowledge of employer engagement and sector-specific training delivery.
