We’re looking for a motivated Junior Air Conditioning Engineer to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career within the air conditioning and HVAC industry.

About the Role
You’ll assist with the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems across domestic and commercial properties. This is a field-based role covering Richmond upon Thames and surrounding areas.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers while receiving company-standard training and practical support. As your knowledge, confidence and competency develop, you’ll be given increased responsibility and opportunities to work more independently.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with air conditioning servicing and maintenance
- Assisting with fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
- Installation of air conditioning systems alongside senior engineers
- Assisting with the installation of pipework, cable and condensate drainage
- Carrying out basic system checks and performance testing
- Servicing and maintaining indoor and outdoor units
- Assisting with the installation and commissioning of air conditioning systems
- Learning to identify and diagnose system faults
- Using job management software to update job progress
- Professional communication with customers on-site
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment
- Reporting to lead engineers and the office team
Please note: The above responsibilities will be carried out progressively and are subject to successful completion of company-standard training. Duties will be undertaken independently once the required level of knowledge, confidence and competency has been demonstrated.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant practical experience in the air conditioning/HVAC sector required
- F-Gas qualification required
- Good understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Full UK driving license (held for at least 2 years)
- Must pass DBS check and driving license check
Additional Skills and Experience (desirable, but not essential):
- Experience in plumbing, heating or electrical work
- Interest in developing additional skills across multiple trades
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and controls
- Experience working on domestic or commercial sites
