Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or fish station
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Support junior kitchen staff through training and guidance as needed
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques across various cuisines
- Experience serving guests or working in a customer-facing role is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
