Duties
- Safely operate a LWB van, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Pick up, transport, and deliver packages to designated locations with precision and professionalism
- Communicate clearly with clients and dispatch teams to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly
- Manage your own route planning to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines
- Handle heavy lifting of parcels, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to maintain optimal performance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation for each shipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, demonstrating reliability and punctuality working within UPS/FEDEX
- Valid UK driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving environments preferred
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and navigation tools is advantageous
