Duties
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
- Cook meals with precision, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Follow all food safety protocols and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe dining environment
- Support the serving team by preparing ingredients for plating and helping with meal assembly during busy periods
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and uphold high standards of customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food hygiene standards
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently under pressure
