Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to specified recipes and standards
- Support senior chefs with food presentation and plating
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Contribute ideas for menu development and presentation enhancements
- Support serving staff during busy service periods when required
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Supervising experience or team management skills are advantageous for future career progression
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures within a professional kitchen setting
- Practical experience in food preparation, culinary techniques, and restaurant operations
- Familiarity with customer service and serving in a hospitality environment
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
