Bank House in Hathersage is looking for a passionate, creative and confident Cocktail Bartender to join our growing team.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being behind the bar and takes pride in creating great drinks. Whether you’re already experienced in cocktails or you’re a bartender looking to develop your skills further, we’d love to hear from you.
As a Cocktail Bartender, you’ll play an important role in creating the atmosphere at Bank House. From classic cocktails and quality serves to recommending drinks and creating memorable experiences, you’ll help make sure our bar is a destination in its own right.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and serving a wide range of cocktails and drinks to a consistently high standard
- Preparing classic and contemporary cocktails with accuracy, speed and attention to detail
- Following recipes, specifications and presentation standards consistently
- Delivering warm, knowledgeable and engaging service to every guest
- Taking time to understand guests' preferences and confidently recommending cocktails and drinks
- Maintaining strong knowledge of our cocktail menu, spirits, wines, beers and other drinks
- Preparing garnishes, syrups, juices and other bar ingredients to the required standard
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-presented bar throughout service
- Ensuring the bar is fully stocked and ready for service
- Working efficiently during busy services while maintaining quality and consistency
- Communicating effectively with the wider Front of House, kitchen and management teams
- Supporting the wider team during busy periods and stepping into other FOH duties when required
- Following responsible alcohol service, licensing, food safety, health and safety procedures
- Supporting opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and restocking
- Helping to minimise waste and maintain good stock control
- Contributing ideas for new cocktails, seasonal serves and drinks experiences

About You
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about drinks and hospitality and enjoys creating a great experience for guests.
You’ll ideally have previous bartending or cocktail experience, but we’re also interested in people with a strong hospitality background who are keen to develop their cocktail skills.
You’ll have:
- A genuine passion for cocktails, drinks and hospitality
- Previous bartending or cocktail experience preferred
- Good knowledge of classic cocktails and standard bartending techniques
- An interest in learning about spirits, ingredients, flavour profiles and new drinks trends
- A confident and engaging personality
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to stay calm and positive during busy services
- A strong team mentality and willingness to support colleagues
- A reliable and hardworking approach
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and during busy periods

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 48.0 per week
