Role: Teaching Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3:30pm

About the role:
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistants to join our team at several possible schools in the Camelford area!
If you have worked or have volunteered in a role where you support children or adults, and would love to be a Teaching Assistant, we are also accepting applications! These roles may have been: Carer, Support Worker, or Children's Sports Teacher. If you also have relevant experience outside of a work environment, we would also love to have a chat with you!
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting and mentoring students in their academic and personal development. If your focus is more towards working with SEN children, you may be working with children whose previous school progress may have been limited by problems with behaviour, learning difficulties, reading and writing, or other challenges.
You will work closely with the teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to thrive.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or adults in an educational or supportive role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one
