Payroll Administrator – Part-time
Join a well-established and growing organisation as a Payroll Administrator on a part-time fixed term contract. The Role
As a Payroll Administrator, you'll be responsible for supporting the payroll function, maintaining accurate records and ensuring key payroll deadlines are met. This is a busy, detail-focused role that requires excellent organisational skills, a high level of accuracy and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly CIS payroll administration, including checking timesheets against attendance records.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies with line managers.
- Process payroll deductions and notifications.
- Produce weekly CIS payment reports.
- Notify payroll of new starters and leavers.
- Complete monthly PAYE attendance cross-checks.
- Maintain daily attendance registers and manage the site sign-in book.
- Provide administrative support with pensions and employee benefits.
- Assist with confidential payroll information for payroll advice meetings.
- Record holiday requests and maintain holiday calendars.
- Support the wider team with general administrative duties as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working with numbers and detailed information.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous payroll administration experience.
- Excellent numerical and data accuracy skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work to strict payroll deadlines.
- A professional, confidential and trustworthy approach.
Desirable experience includes:
- CIS payroll knowledge.
- CIPP qualification (or currently working towards one).
- Experience within the construction or utilities sector.
- Previous HR administration experience.
