11+ After-School Course Teacher (QTS Mandatory)
We are seeking exceptional teachers and tutors who have 11+ expertise in SW5 to lead our in-person courses in London schools. All material is provided and planned and resources are given.
You will be required to attend an online training session on 27th August at 11:30am and complete an online Safeguarding Course through the NSPCC, which we will provide.
First Aid trained teachers are highly desirable.

Tutortastic holds an exceptional partnership with a premier school in the SW5 area of South West London. Due to the expansion of our popular in-school programmes, we are recruiting one outstanding educator to lead our after-school enrichment courses for the upcoming 2026/27 academic year: our Year 3 Foundation Prep Class.
The Role
You will deliver engaging, high-impact, hands-on group tuition to classes of 15–20 motivated students, preparing them conceptually and strategically for the competitive South West London entry landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Teach an established topic plan spanning Verbal Reasoning (VR), Non-Verbal Reasoning (NVR), English, and Mathematics using practical, interactive teaching methods.
- Exam Strategy: Help students master effective study skills, time management, and specific strategies for the ISEB Pretest and independent senior school exams.
- Progress Tracking: Continually assess student understanding, adapting your delivery to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities while providing clear feedback for parents.
- Safeguarding & Logistics: Manage the safe registration and dismissal of children from the club alongside co-course leaders, maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Commitment: Fully commit to the 30-session Tuesday evening schedule (10 sessions per term) running from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM throughout the 2026/27 academic year. You will be expected to arrive at the school no later than 3:15pm to set up - resources provided. A full timetable will be shared with you.
Requirements
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is an absolute mandatory requirement for this role.
- Local Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the 11+ process and admissions criteria for SW London independent and preparatory schools (e.g., Fulham Prep, Emanuel, City, and the ISEB Common Pretest framework).
- Classroom Command: Proven experience managing and engaging groups of 15–20 primary-aged children simultaneously.
- Empathy & Adaptation: Strong differentiation skills to support high-ability students while showing patience and empathy for children with SEN requirements.
- Availability: Able to attend an online training session 11:30pm on Thursday 27th August. A Safeguarding Course will be provided online and will have to be taken first.
