Roffey Park is one of the UK's leading training, conference and event venues. Set within 40 acres of beautiful grounds near Horsham, we have 60 bedrooms, 22 meeting rooms, a restaurant, bar and leisure facilities, welcoming both residential and day delegates throughout the year.
We are looking for a Hospitality Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a varied role where you'll work across our conference facilities, restaurant, bar and private events, helping us deliver an exceptional experience for every guest.

About the role
Working as part of the Hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service across all hospitality areas of the venue. Your duties will include:
- Setting up meeting and training rooms to client specifications.
- Preparing and replenishing tea and coffee stations throughout the venue.
- Serving food and drinks in the restaurant, bar and at private events.
- Providing a welcoming and professional service to all guests.
- Operating the EPOS till system and handling guest charges accurately.
- Assisting with conference room set ups, including furniture movement and basic AV equipment.
- Clearing and resetting restaurant and event spaces.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout all hospitality areas.
- Working closely with colleagues across departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Following food safety, licensing and health and safety procedures at all times.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about customer service.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in a hotel, conference venue, restaurant or bar environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience of table service.
- A friendly and welcoming personality.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to use your own initiative.
- A flexible approach to working across all hospitality areas.
- The ability to carry out manual handling involved in conference room set ups.
- Your own transport, as there is no public transport directly to the venue.
Desirable
- Food Hygiene qualification.
- Experience using an EPOS system.
- Wine service knowledge.
- Experience in a conference or hotel environment.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
