The Role:
We have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Aberdeen.
Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be responsible for taking commercial control of projects from site viability stage to agreement of accounts by:
- Monitoring site prelim over runs monthly.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders by establishing project delivery strategy and implementation.
- Attend regular project meetings.
- Manage & control site over spends
- Monitor/progress final accounts timeously.
- Maintain accurate financial control systems and report monthly on cost/value reconciliation.
- Monitor progress on site and issue required notices in accordance with contract procedures and timescales.
- Prepare forecasts of cost and value of all trades including preliminaries, monitor and report on the same.
- Prepare preliminaries budgets in association with contract staff, monitor and report on the same.
- Ensure that all tenders are carefully vetted and comply with the specification ensuring that the most competitive
- tenders are obtained.
- Ensure that regular meetings are held to agree variations.
- Assist with estimating as and when required.
- Ensure that tenders are accurate and delivered on time.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- HNC/BSc Quantity Surveying
- Complimentary relevant industry work experience
- Numerate
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good written and oral Commercial and Contractual communication skills
