Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter / Cleaner to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment within our hospitality establishment. The successful candidate will support food preparation and cleanliness standards, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for both staff and guests. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the culinary and hospitality industries. Accommodation is available however, this will be charged.
Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and sanitise all kitchen utensils, equipment, and surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Support chefs with ingredient organisation and storage.
- Ensure the cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, and storage rooms throughout shifts.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain recycling protocols.
- Restock supplies and organise storage areas to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents or contamination.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or culinary activities is advantageous but not required.
- Experience working in hospitality
- A proactive attitude with good organisational skills and attention to detail is essential for success in this role. Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
