Print Finishing Operative
We are looking for a experienced reliable and practical Print Finishing Operative to assist with the finishing of printed materials in a busy hand craft bookbindery
The role involves folding, operating a guillotine, and ensuring finished products meet the required quality standards.
Experience in other print finishing operations such as foil blocking would be an advantage
Key Responsibilities
* Fold printed sheets and sections accurately according to job specifications.
* Operate a guillotine to trim printed materials to the required size.
* Set up and use finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
* Check finished work for accuracy, quality and consistency.
* Follow job sheets, instructions and production schedules.
* Keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
* Handle printed materials carefully to prevent damage.
* Report any quality issues, equipment problems or material shortages to the Team leader.
* Meet production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Requirements
* Good attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to carry out repetitive manual tasks.
* Good hand-eye coordination.
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
* Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team.
* Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Working Environment
This is a hands-on production role within a print or finishing environment. The work may involve standing for periods of time, handling paper and printed materials, and working to production deadlines.
Pay negotiable depending on experience
Part or full time
Assistance with travel costs considered
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
