South West based, Taunton Fabrications are a highly respected architectural metal-work and bespoke steel fabrication specialist. Working across the region for over 30 years our typical projects include Feature Stairs, Balconies, Balustrading and Handrails, structural steelwork and other bespoke architectural features.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Skilled Paint Sprayer to join our production team. You will prepare and finish a variety of metalwork components to the highest standard. You will also assist with the build and assembly of products prior to dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Preparation is key. Cleaning, Filling & Sanding prior to painting
- Paint Spraying: Application of industrial coatings and finishes to architectural metalwork.
- Quality Control: Working to ensure quality finishes on high-profile items like feature stairs.
- Assembly Work: Work with the team to build and assemble fabrications before delivery.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean workspace and follow health and safety guidelines.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience as an industrial paint sprayer, ideally within metalwork industry or associated trade such as coach builders.
- Technical Skill: Competent with airless, conventional, or pressure pot spray systems.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to achieve quality finishes on architectural and feature metalwork.
- Team Player: Happy to assist colleagues with final assembly and loading tasks.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and highly organized.
- Training: Further specific training & support will be provided
Job Benefits & Details
· Basic Hours: Minimum 39.5 hours per week. Standard contracted working hours: Mon – Thursday 8-4:30, Friday 8-4
- Overtime: Regular overtime available up to 10 hours per week
