Youth Support Worker– Children & Young People (CYP)

Crosspath Care has successfully launched a dedicated service supporting children and young people (CYP) aged 11–25 across Essex. Since launching, the provision has been running well and is now continuing to grow. This therapeutic service focuses on helping CYP re-engage with education, build life skills, and work towards personal goals within a nurturing and structured environment. Due to the continued development and expansion of the service, we are now looking to expand our team and recruit full-time staff to support the increasing demand.
We’re looking for passionate, experienced support workers who want to make a real difference in the lives of young people, working exclusively with CYP during school term time.
About the Role
This is a CYP-only support role, ideal for those seeking consistent daytime hours during the school term. You’ll work therapeutically with young people to:
- Rebuild confidence and emotional resilience
- Support re-engagement with education and learning
- Develop social, emotional, and practical life skills
- Help CYP work towards personal goals in a safe, structured setting
Core Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm (Term Time Only) Contract Type: Full Time, Part Time and Zero Hour Contracts Available .
Training & Development
We offer specialist training and ongoing support to help you thrive in this role:
- Mental Health, Autism, Safeguarding, and CYP-focused training
- Supervision and reflective practice
- Access to the Crosspath Development Programme
- Funded qualifications in Health & Social Care (Levels 2–5), Mental Health, and Autism

- Driving is essential for this role
- Travel paid at your hourly rate
- Mileage paid at 45p per mile

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred therapeutic support to CYP
- Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and safety

- Maintain accurate records and communicate with the wider team
