Due to continued growth, we have an excellent opportunity for a developing door engineer to join our specialist company.
Working with prestigious commercial clients in Kent/Surrey/Sussex and beyond we support, install and maintain all types of commercial doors.
This opportunity is for a site based role in London working in a unique and interesting site environment with a small and experienced team.
This is seen as a developing role that will allow progression and training to become a skilled and competent door engineer. To do this we need someone with existing skills/experience that we can build from. This will be a hands on door engineer role which will require the use of manual and power tools and some good existing verifiable experience with carpentry, locks or ironmongery - experience of access control would also be beneficial.
As well as manual skills the role requires an excellent attitude coupled with a personable and polite nature.
Being site based you will benefit from excellent facilities and a clean environment along with a structured work day that will include working with our experienced team on a specific long term project as well as more general door support duties across site.
As a central London site based role all travel expenses will be covered, the role would suit someone within or local to London and the central location you will be working at.
Daily & Developing Job Duties:
- Project Work / Planned work / Reactive work related to commercial doorsets of all types in a central London site location.
- Removal/replacement of existing door items, remedials/repairs and PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) of doors
- Complying with company issued work instructions for work tasks/completions
- Completion of work sheets and associated forms for tasks/work sign off
- Assisting with works to a variety of door type systems such as access controlled doors, automatic doors, revolving doors etc.
- All types of repair and installation of ironmongery and operating systems including Door Handles, Locks, Hinges, Closers, Signage etc.
- Repairs to doors including repairs to door leafs and frames, damaged lipping, adjusting door gaps, adjusting hinges, adjusting door closers and all associated repair and install works to a high standard.

- Requirements:
- Verifiable site working experience in carpentry, locksmithing or door related work.
- Practical person with good interpersonal skills, great attitude / time keeping
- Based in London or local to London
- Able to be security cleared
- Ability to work out of hours if and when required (the nature of the site and work requires occasional works OOH which can include W/E or a later start)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
