HGV Class 2 Driver
Small family run company based in Bolton is looking to recruit an extra Class 2 driver to start as soon as possible, 2 nights out will be required per week to meet customer demand, sleeper cab provided, extra work at weekend paid as overtime if you want it so good earning potential but no pressure to do so. Will be driving a 24 plate 18 ton curtain sided vehicle, must maintain good upkeep of the vehicle inside and out and look after our equipment like it was your own.
We are an urgent same day and next day haulier and you will be required to complete 1 to 3 deliveries per day A to B, nice clean easy work. No 2 days are the same. Occasional multi drop runs as and when required but mainly 1 or 2 drop distance runs.
It is desirable to have a minimum of 2 years experience driving class 2 vehicles and no more than 6 points on your license for minor offences for insurance purposes. Must hold relevant class 2 entitlement, CPC card and Digi card.
Experience using a curtain sided vehicle, tail lift and pallet truck and the ability to safely secure your load at all times using ratchet straps and internal straps is desirable. Must be competent at filling out customer paperwork at deliveries/collections and defect sheets, and have a sound geographical knowledge of the UK as we travel nationwide and into Northern Ireland and The Republic. Good communication is a MUST, we will need to be in constant contact as our customers require regular updates about their shipments.
We provide all PPE and truck sat nav with live traffic. All of our vehicles are brand new Mercedes Benz Actros with all but 1 having mirror cam technology.

Basic salary £600 per week, tax free weekly bonus of £100 and tax free night out allowance at £25 per night out. Weekend work paid additionally on top if you want it but there is no pressure or obligation to do so.
20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and we generally shut down for 3 weeks around the christmas period which is paid and we give a generous annual bonus in december and look after our drivers.
Looking for someone to start asap but willing to wait longer for the right candidate if notice period has to be served at current job. Ideally looking to hold interviews this weekend.
