Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Groundworker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks including and not limited to excavation, laying foundations, curbing, concreting and installing drainage systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong understand of the construction industry and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery.
- Use hand tools, power tools to construct and repair roads, buildings and other structures.
- Support excavation tasks by digging trenches or holes as required for foundations or utilities
- Maintain safety protocols at all times, ensuring the work area is secure and hazard-free
- Assist with the delivery and organisation of materials on-site
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
- Follow instructions from supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Previous Groundwork experience is essential.
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to ground work activities
- Ability to operate basic tools and machinery safely; training will be provided for specialised equipment if necessary
- Experience in foundations, drainage and concreting preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team environment
- Full driving licence is required
- Willingness to work nationwide and stay away when required preferred
