Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Day and Night Care Assistants to provide high-quality support within a care home environment. This role involves assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety around the clock. The ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively both during day and night shifts. Previous experience in home care or care homes is advantageous, but full training will be provided for suitable applicants. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs.
Duties
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Supporting residents with medication reminders and administering basic first aid when necessary
- Developing and implementing personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Providing companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and welcoming environment
- Monitoring residents’ health and well-being, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the care environment at all times
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with residents, their families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided for motivated applicants
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and following digital care plans
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with residents and colleagues
- Driving experience or a valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties
- Ability to work flexible hours including day and night shifts, demonstrating reliability and adaptability

Pay: £12.77-£13.00 per hour
