We are looking for a TWS for a Mechanical / Scaffolding scope of works
Role Purpose
The Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) is responsible for assisting the appointed Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) in the supervision, coordination, communication and checking of Temporary Works on site.
The TWS acts as the on-site focal point for the control, inspection, and maintenance of Temporary Works, ensuring all works are undertaken safely, in compliance with approved design documentation, and in accordance with the project’s Temporary Works procedures.
A TWS may only issue a Permit to Proceed (e.g., Permit to Load / Unload)
The TWS has been deemed competent and formally appointed for the specific Temporary Works; and
- The risk classification of the Temporary Works is Low or Very Low, as defined by BS 5975.
- Must have a good understanding of Scaffolding TG20, TG30, layer and bespoke temporary works and designed scaffoldings
- The TWS must hold demonstrable competence in Temporary Works supervision (e.g., CITB TWS training).
- Civil or Mechanical Engineering qualification
- CCNSG Safety Passport
- Strong experience in the management of Scaffolding Management and Temporary Works, implementing BS5975 and Construction Design and Management Regulations
- Maintain accurate site records, permits, and inspection reports.
- Attend coordination meetings and contribute to the Temporary Works registers and audit process.
- Promote a proactive safety culture, ensuring that all Temporary Works are properly controlled and understood by all parties involved.
