Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience of students. Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to diverse learning needs
- Support children with special educational requirements, including those with autism or other disabilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to students who need additional help with their studies or behavioural development
- Foster a nurturing environment by encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction among pupils
- Assist in preparing teaching materials, resources, and creative writing exercises to stimulate student creativity
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers on individual development
- Support students during breaks, lunch periods, and extracurricular activities to ensure safety and inclusion
- Communicate effectively with pupils, teachers, and parents to promote a collaborative approach to education
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or special educational needs is advantageous
- Knowledge of special education practices, particularly working with children on the autism spectrum, is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children and adults alike
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles that involve creative writing or personalised learning support is beneficial
- A caring attitude combined with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities within a classroom environment
