Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, floors, storage areas, and dishwashing stations throughout shifts
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with health and safety standards
- Restock supplies such as utensils, ingredients, and cleaning materials to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Support serving staff by providing clean dishes and assisting with tray setups when needed
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a safe working environment for all team members
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
