Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Room Leader to oversee early childhood education within our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early years education
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the room at all times
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes learning and socialisation
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Organise daily routines including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods
- Support staff development through mentoring and training as required
- Drive responsibilities include transporting children safely when necessary
Experience
- Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood environments
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, early childhood education principles, and best practices
- Previous nursery or childcare centre experience is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties
