The role of Finance Assistant:
- Processing supplier invoices and managing payment runs
- Raising accurate client invoices in line with agreements
- Monitoring aged debt and managing credit control activities
- Supporting reconciliations, audits, and month end processes
- Building and analysing datasets using advanced Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Identifying inefficiencies and helping to automate manual processes
- Supporting improvements across finance systems and workflows
- Exploring AI tools and data-led approaches to enhance reporting and insight
The ideal Finance Assistant:
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
- A genuine interest in AI and data analysis within finance
- Curiosity around automation and continuous process improvement
- A mindset focused on improving efficiency and challenging existing processes
- Strong hands-on experience with accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
