We are seeking a Security Officer to join our dedicated Security team and play an important role in supporting the safety, wellbeing and day-to-day experience of everyone across the College community.
Working as part of the Operations function, you will provide a visible and professional presence across the estate, helping to maintain a secure, welcoming and well-managed environment. This varied role combines security responsibilities with excellent customer service, requiring you to engage confidently with pupils, staff, parents, visitors and contractors while responding appropriately to operational needs.
The successful candidate will support a broad range of security activities, including monitoring systems, conducting patrols, responding to incidents and alarms, assisting with emergency procedures, maintaining accurate records and supporting safeguarding arrangements. Working closely with colleagues across Operations, Pastoral Care and other departments, you will help ensure the College continues to provide a safe and supportive environment for all who learn, work and visit here.
We are looking for a professional, reliable and approachable individual with relevant experience in security, safety, customer service or an operational environment. Applicants should hold a current SIA licence appropriate to the role and a full UK driving licence. You will have strong communication skills, sound judgement, excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Experience within an educational setting, knowledge of security systems and a current first-aid qualification would be advantageous.

The role operates on a structured rota comprising 12-hour shifts across days and nights throughout the year, including weekends and bank holidays where these fall within the rota pattern.
