Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Live-In Carers and Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high-quality, personalised care within clients' homes. This role involves supporting individuals with a variety of needs, promoting independence, and ensuring their comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or related fields, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with clients requiring specialised support, including elderly individuals and those living with dementia or other health conditions.
Duties
- Deliver personalised care to clients in their own homes, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with prescribed instructions.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences.
- Support clients with specialised needs such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, or hospice care, ensuring their emotional well-being.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental health and wellbeing.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary, using appropriate techniques.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation.
- Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate care and behaviour management strategies.
- Monitor health status and report any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments.
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on dementia, Alzheimer’s, or hospice support if applicable.
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with empathy and patience.
- Ability to administer medication accurately and perform first aid when necessary.
- Good organisational skills for meal preparation and daily routines.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs.
- Driving licence preferred for transportation duties.
- Effective behaviour management techniques suited for diverse client needs.
- Childcare experience is advantageous for caring for younger clients or family members within the household.

Pay: £100.00-£160.00 per day
