We're on the lookout for a friendly, organised and hands-on Front of House Supervisor to join our team here at The Rising Sun Inn on beautiful Bodmin Moor.
We're a busy pub, restaurant, campsite and rooms business that loves great food, good drinks and making people feel welcome. One minute you could be pouring pints for locals, the next chatting with holidaymakers about where to explore on the moor, or helping the team smash a busy dinner service.
This isn't a job where you'll spend your day hiding in an office. We're looking for someone who enjoys being in the middle of the action, leading by example, keeping the team motivated and making sure guests leave happy and planning their next visit.
What you'll be getting up to
- Leading the front of house team and helping services run smoothly.
- Welcoming guests and making sure they have a great time with us.
- Pouring pints, serving wine, cocktails and great food.
- Jumping in wherever needed during busy services.
- Helping train and support the team.
- Keeping standards high without making things feel stuffy or formal.
- Dealing with the occasional challenge with a smile and a bit of common sense.
- Making sure the pub looks its best and runs like clockwork.
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Enjoy working with people and have a positive attitude.
- Can keep calm when the pub gets busy.
- Like leading from the front and getting stuck in.
- Have hospitality experience, ideally in a supervisory role.
- Are reliable, organised and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Don't mind evenings and weekends — that's when the fun happens.
