Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Private Hire and Tour Driver to provide exceptional transportation services to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong sense of customer service, and the ability to navigate various routes efficiently. This role involves transporting passengers safely and comfortably while maintaining vehicle condition and adhering to all safety regulations. The role involves working with our extensive client list delivering exceptional service operating private hires and tours all over the UK.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate private hire vehicles to transport clients on scheduled tours and private hire trips
- Ensure punctuality by adhering to planned schedules and routes
- Assist passengers with luggage and provide excellent customer service throughout the journey
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle interior and exterior
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pick-up points, destinations, and any special requirements
Experience
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in commercial driving, delivery, or tour guiding roles
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type being operated (e.g., PCV licence for passenger vehicles)
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance and safety standards
