About the role
Modern Movers Ltd is launching a dedicated cleaning division to support our removals customers with:
- End of tenancy cleaning
- Move out cleaning
- Move in cleaning
- Carpet cleaning
- Upholstery cleaning
- Landlord and tenant handover cleans
We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor / Carpet Cleaning Technician to help us build and manage this new service.
The ideal person will be reliable, experienced and confident enough to supervise cleaning jobs, carry out professional carpet cleaning, check quality before handover and help train other team members.
Main responsibilities
- Supervise end of tenancy and move out cleaning jobs
- Carry out professional carpet cleaning
- Use pre spray, agitation and extraction equipment
- Assist with stain treatment and upholstery cleaning where required
- Check cleaning quality before customer handover
- Train and support other cleaners and team members
- Make sure jobs are completed to a professional standard
- Report any issues, damage, stains or access problems before and after the job
- Help build systems and standards for the new cleaning division
Experience required
- End of tenancy cleaning experience
- Professional carpet cleaning or extraction cleaning experience preferred
- Experience using carpet cleaning machines would be a strong advantage
- Understanding of stain treatment, pre spray and agitation preferred
- Good attention to detail
- Able to manage small teams
- Customer facing experience
- Reliable, punctual and professional
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Able to travel across London
- Able to provide references or examples of previous work
- DBS preferred but not essential
- Flexible availability preferred
