Driver Hire Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft is recruiting a
Class 1 HGV Driver for a
temp to perm position specialising in
live bird transportation. This role offers the opportunity to move into a permanent contract following a successful temporary period.
You’ll be responsible for safe, compliant, and efficient transportation of live birds while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and biosecurity.
- Transport live birds safely and in line with animal welfare regulations
- Adhere to strict biosecurity procedures
- Complete all paperwork accurately and on time
- Follow health & safety guidelines at all times
- Maintain accurate driving hours and working time records
- £183.51 per day
- 12 week temp to perm opportunity
- Weekly pay + holiday & pension
- Day shifts - occasional weekends
- Upskilling opportunities – Gain Moffett licence
- Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Live Bird Transportation Certificate - preferred but training would be considered
- Valid CPC & Digital Tacho Card
- Minimum 12 months’ Class 1 experience preferred
- Maximum 6 points (no CD, IN, DD or DR endorsements)
- Strong knowledge of Driving Hours Regulations & WTR
