Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled 360 Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to facilitate excavation and ideally have experience in shaft sinking and sheeted pit installations. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work efficiently on various construction projects. The successful applicant will contribute to the safe and timely completion of projects, ensuring all tasks are carried out to high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 360 excavator safely and effectively across diverse construction sites.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with digging, trenching, and material handling tasks as required.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of appropriate PPE at all times.
- Collaborate with ground staff and project managers to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any equipment issues promptly.
- Follow site-specific protocols for environmental protection and waste disposal.
Experience
- Proven experience operating a 360 excavator on water projects and civil engineering.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience using a Telescopic Clamshell attachment.
- Valid driving licence with experience in commercial driving preferred.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards within the construction industry.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
