Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry for accounts payable, receivable, and other financial transactions using various software platforms such as Sage and Magento.
- Assist with processing invoices, expenses, and payments while ensuring timely and accurate recording of all transactions.
- Support month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports.
- Maintain organized records of financial documents and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the Financial Director to review discrepancies, resolve invoice issues, and improve data accuracy.
- Manage vendor communications related to payments and account inquiries efficiently, an excellent telephone manner is therefore an advantage.
- Deal with general enquiries, orders and billing enquiries.
Skills
- Some experience of working with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or PeopleSoft, however training will be given to the right person.
- Interest or experience of accounts payable processes and financial services operations.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft software to facilitate financial transactions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Good communication skills to liaise with vendors, team members, and Directors clearly.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance requirements is an advantage.
