Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pasta Chef to join our kitchen team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of pasta dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in the development of new pasta recipes and menu items in collaboration with the head chef
- Ensure all food preparation complies with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace at all times
- Monitor cooking processes to ensure optimal quality, flavour, and presentation
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Assist with meal preparation for special events or catering as required
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, particularly in cooking pasta or Italian cuisine
- Previous kitchen experience within a restaurant setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a professional kitchen environment
- Experience in meal preparation, including handling multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Familiarity with serving procedures and maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in a culinary setting
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is advantageous
