WE ARE HIRING – HEAVY HAULAGE DISPATCHER / PLANNER
We are looking for an experienced Heavy Haulage Dispatcher / Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the heavy haulage / abnormal loads industry and a good understanding of the operational and planning requirements involved. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and coordinate journeys for heavy, abnormal and oversize loads - Arrange and manage abnormal load permits and applications - Plan safe and efficient routes, taking into consideration restrictions, bridges, weight limits and clearances - Coordinate with customers, drivers, authorities and other relevant parties - Develop relationships with new customers and identify new business opportunities - Handle enquiries, provide transport solutions and secure new work - Coordinate daily operations and ensure jobs are delivered safely and efficiently The Ideal Candidate:
✅ Proven experience in heavy haulage / abnormal loads
✅ Strong knowledge of UK abnormal load planning and permits
✅ Excellent route-planning and organisational skills
✅ Confident communicating with customers and drivers
✅ Commercially minded with the ability to win new customers
✅ Able to work under pressure and manage multiple jobs simultaneously
Location: Basingstoke / Hampshire
