Field Care Supervisor – Wolverhampton
Location: The Old Rectory, 57 Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton, WV1 4QH
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Sunday)
Core Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (flexibility required for evenings and weekends)
Salary: £26,436.80 per annum, plus 30p per mile for business-related travel
About the Role
At Nationwide Care Services, we are committed to delivering outstanding care and support to our service users. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Field Care Supervisor to join our Wolverhampton team.
As a Field Care Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of care by supporting, supervising and mentoring our care staff in the community. You will ensure that care is delivered in line with individual care plans, company policies and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of quality, professionalism and continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous domiciliary care experience, excellent communication skills and a passion for developing others.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct regular monitoring and spot-check visits to ensure high-quality care is being delivered.
- Supervise, support and mentor Care Workers, providing coaching and guidance where required.
- Complete monthly monitoring visits for all allocated Care Workers, with additional visits where improvements are needed.
- Carry out one-to-one meetings, address performance concerns and implement corrective action plans.
- Support new Care Workers through shadowing, mentoring and ongoing development.
- Deliver practical guidance and ad-hoc training within service users' homes.
- Work closely with Branch Managers, Compliance Managers, Trainers and Quality Assurance teams to maintain compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate records using the company's electronic care management system, including attendance and mileage.
- Liaise professionally with service users, families, GPs, Social Workers, Local Authorities, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure all care is delivered in accordance with care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Promote equality, dignity, diversity and person-centred care at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and all relevant legislation.
- Report safeguarding concerns, incidents and hazards promptly and in accordance with company procedures.
- Work flexibly within the community, including occasional evening and weekend monitoring visits.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience providing personal care within a domiciliary or home care setting.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or conducting spot checks with Care Workers.
- A good understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding and care sector legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
- The confidence to address performance issues professionally while supporting staff development.
- A compassionate, positive and professional approach.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- The ability to work flexibly across a seven-day service.
