Swan at Shakespeare’s Globe is a dynamic and vibrant hospitality company located on Bankside, offering a diverse range of services, including a bustling brasserie, stylish bar, high-profile events, coffee shop, and outdoor bar.
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic Bar Assistant Manager to work in our bar which has a popular food offering. The bar operates all day, serving modern British cuisine; from morning breakfasts to evening cocktails and everything in between.
We are looking for a Bar Assistant Manager who has:
- Enjoys managing large teams
- Able to manage multiple areas like the bar, 2 terraces and the bar floor with diners
- Managing stocks and achieving budget
- Preparing rotas
- Identifying areas of improvement and setting up the necessary training to achieve them
- A passion for meeting people and interacting with the public
- Excellent food and beverage knowledge
- A keen eye for detail
- Enthusiasm and motivation
- Great communication skills
- A strong background in hospitality
- Keen to support and mentor junior team members

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Swan’s long-term strategy, seasonal planning, and uphold our culture and values
- Oversee the financial performance of the bar, optimising operations to achieve revenue goals
- Innovate and develop bar offerings in collaboration with the General Manager
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing to drive department growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the Globe team to enhance operations
The position is full time, permanent and available immediately. Right to work in the UK is required, evening and weekend work is an essential part of the job.
