Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar/Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons. This role involves serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right candidate. A passion for food, drink, and guest satisfaction is essential.
Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and take their orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and upsell specials to enhance guest experience.
- Ensure tables are clean, tidy, and properly set before and after service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using the POS system.
- Maintain a clean and organised work station throughout shifts.
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties when required, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Monitor guest satisfaction levels and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
- Good communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- A genuine passion for guest services and creating positive dining experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the establishment’s operating hours.
