AVW Fabrications Ltd is a family run business established in 1988 and located in Leicester with close links to the M1, M69 and A46. We specialise in laser cutting and sheet metal fabrication and pride ourselves on excellent customer service.
The Company is looking for a General Operative to join our growing team who displays an enthusiastic positive attitude and can work from both set instructions and their own initiative.
Key Role Responsibilities
· Provide assistance to fabricators/welders where necessary.
· Assisting with any requirements within the Company’s powder coat facility.
· Loading and unloading of deliveries/customer orders.
· Maintenance and upkeep of tooling and machinery as required.
· Collecting orders from suppliers and deliveries to customer locations.
· Assisting in the maintenance of Company vehicles, if necessary, e.g. maintenance/servicing.
· General housekeeping around the workshop area.
· Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
· All other duties as required that are considered to be a reasonable employer request.
Essential Skills
· Working in a methodical and organised manner.
· Full driving licence.
· Forklift licence.
· Accurate measuring ability and good level of numeracy and literacy skills.

Job Type: Full-Time, permanent
Salary: Minimum Wage to start
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am to 2pm
