Senior People Advisory Business Partner
At Burges Salmon, we know that brilliant people shape our business. We're looking for a Senior Business Partner to join our People Advisory team in a role that offers real influence, high-quality work and the chance to partner closely with senior leaders across the firm.
This is an opportunity for an experienced HR or People Business Partner who enjoys operating at a strategic level while staying close to delivery. You'll work on complex, high-impact people matters, support organisational change and help shape an environment where our people can thrive and perform at their best.
You'll lead on complex employee relations matters, coach and challenge leaders, and work in partnership with colleagues across the wider People team to deliver a joined-up, thoughtful and commercially grounded approach. It's a role with visibility, trust and genuine scope to make a difference.
What makes this role different
This role sits right at the heart of the business. You'll work with senior leaders on decisions that are commercially astute, people-focused and aligned to the firm's direction, giving you the chance to influence outcomes in a meaningful way.
It's also a chance to be part of a firm where collaboration, quality, ambition and care for our people genuinely matter. We want our colleagues to feel supported, included and able to do their best work — and this role plays an important part in making that happen.
What you'll be doing
You'll partner with senior leaders on people plans linked to business priorities, provide expert support on employee relations and change, and use data and insight to help shape sound decisions. You'll also contribute to a positive colleague experience by bringing clarity, consistency and confidence to the way people matters are handled.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who brings strong experience from a senior HR, People Advisory or Business Partner role, ideally within professional services or another complex, fast-paced environment. You'll be comfortable navigating sensitive issues, supporting change and building credibility quickly with senior stakeholders.
Alongside strong judgement and a sound understanding of UK employment law, you'll bring commercial awareness, emotional intelligence and a collaborative style. Most importantly, you'll care about doing the right thing, building trusted relationships and helping create an environment where people feel they belong and can succeed.
Why join us
At Burges Salmon, you'll find high-quality work, a collaborative and inclusive culture, and the support to develop your career in a way that works for you. This is a chance to join a firm that takes pride in its people experience and gives you the platform to do meaningful work with impact.
If you're looking for a role where you can bring your expertise, influence senior leaders and help shape a great colleague experience in a firm known for quality, ambition and collaboration, we'd love to hear from you.
