Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
- Administer medication accurately and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Offer emotional support and companionship, fostering a trusting relationship with clients
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Manage behavior and dementia-related challenges with patience and understanding
- Document care activities meticulously and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, including Alzheimer's, dementia, hospice, and senior care
- Valid driving license and ability to drive safely between client locations
- Certification or training in first aid and medication administration is preferred
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassionate patient-centered support
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for client transfers or mobility assistance
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients, families, and team members
