Newton IT is looking for a Japanese-speaking Network Engineer to support the delivery, maintenance, and ongoing operation of network and infrastructure environments for our clients.
This role combines infrastructure support, system administration, and project-based implementation work, making it ideal for someone with strong networking knowledge who enjoys both operational support and technical project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement of network infrastructure environments
- Support the operation and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain stable, secure, and reliable network environments
- Support and maintain network platforms and related infrastructure
- Assist with infrastructure projects, deployments, and system implementation activities
- Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance across infrastructure environments
Technical Requirements
Strong knowledge of:
- Firewalls
- Routers and switches
- Wireless networking and access points
- General network infrastructure troubleshooting
Good understanding of:
- DNS
- DHCP
- IPv4 / IPv6
- VLANs
- VPN technologies
Additional Skills
- Strong networking and infrastructure knowledge
- Good organisational and project coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Certifications
- CCNA / CCNP
- Fortinet Certified Professional
- PMP
- Security-related certifications
Language Requirements
Business-level Japanese and English communication skills are essential for this role.
