Job Description (in brief):
To be responsible for the catering operations including kitchen management, planning, preparation and cooking of meals and maintaining, cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen areas.
Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, as and when required.
Order stocks and check deliveries are in line with what was ordered. Ensure all stock is rotated accurately to ensure efficient and economic use of supplies.
Maintain accurate records of food supplies, ensuring that purchasing is maintained within the agreed budget.
Ensure weekly stock checks are completed and reported to the home manager and all stock signed in and out where appropriate by all staff who have access to food supplies health & safety.
Ensure that food hygiene regulations are being met.
