Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team in a full time position. Five days a week across weekdays and weekends. Shifts are a mix of 8am-4.30pm and 9am-4.30pm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our customers in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of items according to menu specifications and customer preferences.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist in meal preparation for other kitchen stations as needed, ensuring timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while working in the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as Cook or similar role in a restaurant or culinary setting.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on grilling techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends as required.
