Overview
Personal Assistant (female) wanted. I am a wheelchair user looking for a reliable, professional female PA to join my team. Duties include: Personal Care, Lunch/Dinners, daily routines, light house tasks, appointments, and getting out and about. My current PA is leaving towards the end of September, so I am looking to start as soon as possible for a smoot handover. Because of the nature of my physical disability, I need someone who is willing to understand my individual needs. Someone who is patient, outgoing, adaptable, and commited to providing high-quality person-centred care. You will need excellent spoken and written English, and a full UK driving licence. And your own car, that is suitable for carrying my manual wheelchair. Pay and hours are flexible, and training can be provided. Duties
- Assisting with daily personal care routines including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Implementing and updating personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Providing companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Managing medication reminders and ensuring adherence to prescribed routines
- Maintaining a clean and organised living environment for the individual
- Communicating effectively with family members and healthcare providers regarding care needs and progress
- Driving the individual to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting the individual safely
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Compassionate nature with strong organisational abilities
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks with patience and professionalism
- Respectful attitude towards individuals with disabilities, ensuring dignity at all times
